    Superb

The staff was extraordinarily pleasant and helpful. They went out of their way to help us find great restaurants and also organised our follow- on trip to Saint-Emilion. Our room was also clean, with an excellent, very comfortable bed and huge hd television. Also Wi-fi.

Seems not to be quite finished - eg no lobby.

Friendly staff, easy language translation, modern rooms with all the amenties. Great location near tram stop and ability to get to all of the restaurants walking of riding. Nice morning breakfast and quiet breakfast area and on nice weather days, a great patio/deck for enjoying a glass of wine under an open sky. Only place to stay while in Bordeaux!

While the hotel is relatively new, at some point a small gym with treadmill, bicycle would be nice. Shower is beautiful, could use some instructions on how to get rain forest shower working without getting showered with cold water. May want to get a few wine country tour guides established to reccomend to visitors.

Amazing location, central for all recommended sights. Staff friendly and efficient. Rooms perfect and well equipped. Beautiful garden and communal room for rest/reading etc. Great breakfast. Extensive wine list.

A bit expensive but worth it!

Very helpful staff they recommended excellent restaurants for each of our two nights stay there. Very relaxed atmosphere

There was still a lot of refurbishment work going on

    Very good

The external appearance of the building and outside eating areas were very tasteful. The bedroom size (superior) was very good. Sound proofing was effective. Staff were helpful and welcoming.

The lack of privacy in the bedroom - ie glazed screen shower to one side of the bed, a bath to the other and wash basins behind! Didn't like the bed facing the door - but that's being picky! The air conditioning didn't seem to function well and it was impossible to sleep with the windows open, due to the road noise.

Great hotel stay, great staff who assisted with accurate and current information, enabling a recommendation for a return visit. Hotel provided a very generous sized modern and well equiped room. Just loved their design flair for the rooms.

Unfortunately the weather was damp, which prevented our planned use of the hotel courtyard dining and bar facilities. Next time.

    Superb

This hotel was beautiful, very modern, rooms were large, bathrooms excellent and most importantly, the hotel team were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I will stay there again. During the summer the outside terrace will be lovely for drinks in the sun.

The only small issue I had was one that will be gone by this week. They are in the process of expanding the reception area, so there was some work going on in the hotel on the Monday morning which woke me up.

Its centrality to the old quarter of Bordeaux - albeit for a considerable price premium.

Noting previous reviews, it still felt like a work in progress: a hot tub was sitting in the communa are, waiting to be plumbed in, and various electrical works were in progress, both at check-in and latterly. I was ticketed within two minutes of my arrival, having been (re)assured that I ought not to be; but I was plainly tailed by parking attendants (in my evidently British-plated car) on something of a mission. A new "boutique" hotel really needs to sort out a dedicated drop- off point for its clients: as a first time visitor to Bordeaux, how would I know where best to park without first checking in? That said, the staff were suitably contrite and did arrange to pay the fixed €35 fine (having billed me). As for the room, expansive though it was, it's the first time that I've stayed somewhere where my door opened onto the breakfast room...and the logistical problem was compounded by a) a 2/3 metre square breakfast table (for two? Try negotiating a breakfast in that space), and b) insufficient capacity for those wanting breakfast to begin with (a grandiose chess set in the corner of the room, which, had it been removed, might at least have helped to alleviate the problem). No electrical sockets in the wet room, nor anywhere near the table for the (admittedly free) WiFi connection, conventional blind controls that required you to be at least 2 metres tall to operate them, a very narrow wardrobe, and a floor level fridge left me, I'm sorry to say, with the feeling, all in all, that this was a triumph of style (rather than design) over substance, and very fully priced at that. C'est la vie ( ou le tourisme)...

    Superb

I was at a conference but had been joined by grown up family living abroad for a joint business/vacation . I booked an apartment and a double room. The apartment I booked was perfect, with a large comfortable living area. The individual room was a bit small, but very comfortable. We got totally caffeinated with the espresso machine . We had a mixture of self-catering and dining out at a restaurant , "Belle Epoche" , recommended by the staff. That we went back to the same restaurant twice was indicative of it's quality. The staff were always helpful and very pleasant. lovely people who really seem to care about their guests.

Some of the furniture and fittings were a bit flimsy and I doubt that they will stand up to long-term use from guests .

Very professional and friendly staff, very clean and safe.

Clock in our room was not set correctly and thus we over slept and did not have time to explore the city and eat breakfast before moving on to Saint Tropez.

I loved the attention to detail within the hotel rooms and their environs - surrounded by the chique designer furniture while maintaining opulent standing of the space afforded to the rooms. Comfortable bathroom, sleeping and leisure facilities. The staff were extremely courteous and more than helpful. The courtyard was most attractive and for being in a city centre location, one could lead themselves to believe the were in the centre of the countryside based on the sound proofing in the rooms.

    Good

Beautiful entrance & courtyard. Location good for shopping & sightseeing. Compact hotel with characterful rooms. A feeling of peacefulness & luxury.

Spoiled by minor yet irritating things: 'open plan' shower not large enough to prevent floor from getting very wet; extractor in bathroom not powerful enough to remove steam from shower & no anti mist screen on mirrors; kettle flex not long enough to reach socket; window blinds not well chosen for window design - got caught in windows; receptionist couldn't estimate the cost of a taxi from the hotel to the airport & didn't offer to find out.
